Pleats - Leather - New Shibori

"This year our concentration is on the development of unique shibori patterns which we have developed over the last thirty years of our exploration of "of surface design".

Each piece of silk fabric is pole pleated, by hand, on a large pole. Our unique wrap forms a "fan palm" type pattern or a wood grain type of pattern. The fabric is then dyed or discharged to form the desired pattern. On some of the pieces the fabric is then over dyed or re-wrapped in a KUMO SHIBORI pattern. Each garment made has been individually wrapped. In the case or "NORWEGIAN WOODS", this garment is almost five yards wide and wraps around the body without any seams. It is one piece.
These patterns are available in silk chiffon, silk georgette, or silk charmuse.
